Hiraoka Sundream & Sunclear

The series includes the Hiraoka Sundream H, Sundream Cool and Sunclear. These three high quality, transparent fabrics that can keep the weather and harmful UV radiation out while letting light in. Hiraoka Sundream H

This fabric incorporates a UV protection layer that blocks 99.7% of UVA and 99.9% of UVB radiation while still allowing 62% light transmission. If you’re wanting a touch of colour, the Sundream H is also available in charcoal, blue and bronze. These colours are still semi-transparent allowing more than 30% light transmission depending on your colour choice. Compare that to a normal shade sail, for example, the Rainbow Shade Z16 in the colour Laguna Blue, which only allows 11% light transmission.

Hiraoka Sundream Cool

This fabric includes the same UV blocking technology as the Sundream H with the addition of Hiraoka’s heat shield technology. Compared to Sundream H, this fabric reflects up to 30% more infrared light, reducing solar heat gain. The pearlescent and near-transparent finish to the fabric means it comes to life and almost glows in the sunlight with 54% light transmission.

Hiraoka Sunclear

This heavy-duty fabric is Sundream H’s big brother. Thicker, heavier and even stronger, it’s a great choice for covering large spans in any space from residential to commercial. This fabric can block 99.5% of UVA and 99.9% of UVB rays with 65% light transmission, making it the most transparent fabric Hiraoka produces.
